Numerical analysis

In the proposed module, Numerical Analysis is introduced. The content spans the English technical terminology of numbers and equations, the idea (and the need) of approximating solutions of complex equations and the illustration of two algorithms for the numerical solution of equations, i.e., the bisection method and the Newton's method. A glance is also offered at some implications of the latter method on recent developments of Maths, such as the fractal geometry and the chaos theory. The module is endowed with the material needed to implement most of the typical features of the CLIL methodology.
